One of the major attractions of the city is the Imambada, which was built by Nawab Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784. Another place to check out is the Chota Imambada or Hussainabad, which was constructed by Muhammad Ali Shah in 1839. Other places of tourist attraction are Jama Masjid, Clock tower, Charbagh railway station, Dilkusha Palace, Zoo, State Museum, Lal Baradari, Dargah of Hazrat Abbas, Badshahi Bagh and Tarawali Kothi. One tourist place that draws a lot of crowd is the Residency, which was built by Nawab Saadat Ali Khan in 1800. Though the building now is not in a very good state but it is still a sight to behold. Another place worth a look is the Chattar Manzil, which was the residence of begum Hazrat mahal for a little while. Now the building houses a Drug Research Institute.
